Yemen captures key Qaeda chief as embassies reopen (AFP)

US and Western anti-terror efforts have focused on the Arab state of Yemen in the wake of last month's failed terror plot, blamed on an Al-Qaeda branch located there. Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the 23-year-old Nigerian suspected of trying to destroy a US airplane in midflight, is believed to have studied and received training in Yemen.
