AP – A man was being credited with tying the 77-year-old world record for catching the biggest largemouth bass. The International Game Fish Association announced Friday that it had confirmed the 22-pound, 4-ounce fish caught by Manabu Kurita. The Florida-based group said Kurita caught the fish July 2 on Lake Biwa, Japan’s largest lake.

AP – A 29-year-old woman was arrested after allegedly using a stun gun on a woman who tried to hug her on Christmas night. Deborah Downing has been jailed $15,510 bond. She was charged with aggravated battery, petty theft and violation of pretrial release. It’s unclear if she already has an attorney.

AP – Police in Kansas City, Mo., are looking for a woman who went on a rampage at a McDonald’s because she didn’t like her hamburger. Police said the woman caused thousands of dollars in damage on Dec. 27 when she became upset that the restaurant wouldn’t refund her money.
